SZL-VL Sub-miniature
From Honeywell, the SZL-VL series are miniature limit switches that have been designed for OEM machinery. They have a compact design and are highly reliable and precise.
Features:
SZL-VL limit switches are constructed from a zinc die cast body complete with a durable plastic cover.
They feature a pre-installed cable gland as standard.
These limit switches are small with a compact size of only 102 x 28 x 25 mm
A double break structure allows you to control two circuits.
This series has a 5 A capability.
Operating temperature range of -20 °C to +60 °C.
SZL-VL limit switches have one normally closed (NC) and one normally open (NO) contacts. They are a single pole double throw (SPDT) limit switch.
Benefits:
SZL-VL limit switches are incredibly easy to install. They have plenty of wiring space within the unit and are fitted with a pre-moulded flexible cable gland. This makes the wiring termination quick and easy.
This series also uses a split housing design that gives you easier access to the terminal. This ensures that you can install these limit switches into applications where space is limited. The modular design allows you to alter the configuration of the limit switches to suit your application. Adjusting the configuration is straightforward, which means you can also do this in the field.
SZL-VL limit switches feature gold plater silver contacts as standard. This enables the unit to switch power level loads (up to 5 A) or to switch low amperage logic level loads.
SZL-VL limit switches are a long lasting solution. They have a mechanical lifespan of up to 10 million operations.

SZL-VL limit switches are versatile, and their compact size enables them to be utilised in a range of applications. Example applications in industrial environments and transportation equipment include:
Position sensing. This could be an entrance or exit gate in a parking structure, or sensing on pallet machinery, printing equipment or packaging and case sealing machines. These limit switches can used on automatic storage and retrieval systems.
Indicating open or closed positions. This series can be utilised for overhead doors or domestic garage doors.
Adjustment of outriggers. SZL-VL limit switches can be used to adjust the deployment position or up and down hydraulic pump cut-off on scissors lifts.
Cut-offs. SZL-VL limit switches are idea for use in wheelchair lifts in vans and buses to provide a cut-off for up and fold ramps or the roll stop cut-off.
