TE Connectivity IDC 180° Connector Plug Kits provide shielding from EMI/RFI (electromagnetic interference and radio frequency interference) for the Champ IDC type connectors. Both shields are required to complete the connector assembly, the inner cover providing the EMI/RFI protection and the outer cover protects the assembly and provides strain relief for the cable.
