TE Connectivity Grace Inertia 2.5 Mark II Plug Housings

Grace Inertia 2.5 Mark II wire-to-board plug housings with a 2.5mm pitch. These Grace Inertia 2.5 mm Mark II plug housings are designed to prevent human error during assembly by using an inertia locking mechanism which is built into the housing. The inertia locking mechanism simultaneously completes the circuit and locks the connector. An audible 'click' is produced to confirm mating. If improper mating is attempted the receptacle and the header contacts are prevented from making contact. This locking mechanism prevents defective products caused by half-mating and ensures that reliable connections are made. The inertia locking mechanism also prevents unmating caused by external forces providing a reliable connection when the connector is in use.
These Grace Inertia 2.5 Mark II connectors have a compact space saving 2.5 mm pitch and an ergonomic design for easy manual operation. The new design of these Grace Inertia 2.5 Mark II connectors also reduces contact insertion force by up to 59% during assembly. The receptacle contacts are lanceless to prevent snagging and entanglement and have a dual beam design to provide a reliable electrical connection.
These Grace Inertia 2.5 Mark II plug housings feature four colour coded keying methods to avoid mis-matching and blind mating. TPA (Terminal Position Assurance) is available to ensure that the contacts are securely seated in the housing and to prevent terminal back-out.
The receptacle contacts and TPA for these Grace Inertia 2.5 Mark II plug housings must be purchased separately.
