TE Connectivity PIDG FASTON 250 Positive Lock Crimp Receptacles
PIDG or Pre Insulated Diamond Grip FASTON 250 positive lock crimp receptacle terminals designed for providing reliable and uniform terminations in challenging circuit environments. These PIDG FASTON receptacles consist of a precision formed high conductivity tin plated brass body and a copper sleeve surrounded by colour coded nylon insulation. The barrel contains serrations which provide maximum contact and tensile strength after crimping. This construction ensures that a uniform insulation thickness is achieved during crimping and the terminals have a consistent appearance and performance. In addition, PIDG FASTON 250 receptacles feature a positive locking system that ensures easy mating and a good mechanical locking force. A spring on the receptacle engages with a ramp in the connector housing and prevents disconnection when the wire is pulled. A locking latch on the receptacle engages in a locking hole in the mating tab terminal for a secure connection. This positive locking mechanism makes these crimp receptacles ideal for use in applications where there is strong vibration or mechanical strain
Features & Benefits
Positive locking system for a secure connection
Copper sleeve for improved wire insulation support after crimping
Funnelled wire entry on terminal allows easy and fast wire insertion
Serrations in crimp barrel for maximum contact and tensile strength after crimping
Nylon insulation is resistant to hydrocarbons such as greases and oils and has a high dielectric strength.
Product Application Information
These PIDG FASTON 250 positive lock crimp receptacles are suitable for use in a wide range of applications. Applications include electrical components, industrial, instrumentation, HVAC, appliances, power supplies, lighting and automotive
