SIRIUS 3RV1 Mountable Accessories
Siemens 3RV1 circuit breakers have three main contact elements. In order to achieve maximum flexibility, signaling switches, auxiliary switches and isolator modules can be easily fitted to the switches without the use of any tools according to requirements.
Signaling Switches for sizes S0, S2, and S3
One contact system always signals tripping irrespective of whether this was caused by a short circuit, an overload or an auxiliary release. The other contact system only switches in the event of a short circuit. There is no signaling as a result of switching off with the handle. One signaling switch can be mounted on the left side of each circuit breaker. In order to be able to switch on the circuit breaker again after a short circuit, the signaling switch must be reset manually after the error cause has been eliminated.
Auxiliary Switch
For remote controlled tripping of the circuit breaker, the release coil should only be energized for short periods.
Isolator Module for sizes S0 and S2
The supply cable is connected to the circuit breaker through the isolator module. The plug can only be unplugged when the circuit breaker is open and isolates all 3 poles from the network. The shock protected isolation point is clearly visible and secured with a padlock to prevent reinsertion of the plug. Isolator modules can be mounted to the upper terminal end of the circuit breaker.
Warning
This product is in obsolescence mode and is due for discontinuation by the manufacturer. We recommend that you review the alternative highlighted by the manufacturer. Alternatively, refer to the cross reference list in the Technical Reference section which highlights the upgrade path for your current generation of products.
Siemens SIRIUS Cage Clamp Technology
As an alternative to screw connections a large number of Siemens low voltage components are also available with cage clamp connections.,Solid, stranded and finely stranded conductors, with or without end sleeves, can be connected, where two conductors can be clamped independent of one another at each terminal.,Inserting a flat bladed screwdriver opens the terminal; the conductor is then introduced and securely clamped following the removal of the screwdriver. The chromium-nickel spring steel of the cage clamp terminal guarantees corrosion resistant contact of the conductors.
