RS PRO Threaded Mount Float Switch, 3 m Cable

RS PRO Level Sensors

Introducing the range of RS PRO high-quality level sensors, designed to provide accurate and efficient control of liquid levels in various applications. With a wide range of standard units and exceptional features, these RS PRO sensors offer a simple and economical solution while delivering numerous benefits to enhance your operations across a wide range of applications.

Features and Benefits:

• These RS PRO level sensors are available in a range of constructions including Brass, PVC, AISI-316, PP and PVDF to allow for the selection of the most suitable option dependant on the specific sensing application
• These sensors are suitable for use in demanding environments and ensure reliable operation under varying pressure conditions, thanks to the working pressure of up to 50 bar, making them perfect for industrial applications
• Using reed contact technology whereby a magnetic float actuates a reed contact inside the measuring rod, the level sensor provides accurate and reliable measurement of liquids, minimising errors and malfunctions
• The sensors offer exceptional durability and require limited maintenance thanks to only a single moving float element, which in turn minimises the chances of mechanical failure, extends the sensor’s lifespan and hassle-free operations, saving on downtime and expensive maintenance costs
• Designed to operate in extreme temperatures, these sensors offer an ambient operating temperature of -30 °C to +55 °C with 90% RH, ensuring reliability and optimal performance in harsh environments
• The connecting cable is sealed together with the contact inside the rod using epoxy resin and polymerisation in a temperature-controlled oven which provides a durable and secure seal, and protects against moisture and contaminations
• The sensors offer a minimum rating of IP65, ensuring resistance to dust, water and external elements which makes them suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations and offering long-lasting performance and durability
• All sensors meet ATEX construction standards, ensuring compliance with safety requirements in potentially explosive atmospheres and providing safe operation in hazardous environments and adherence to stringent safety standards
• Available in a wide variety of materials, dimensions and connecting cable lengths, these is an option for any environment and application

Applications:

• Level sensors are devices used to measure and monitor the level of liquids or solids in tanks or vessels. They use various technologies like floats, capacitance, ultrasonic waves, pressure and more to provide information about the quantity of the liquid present. These types of sensors play a crucial part in process control, inventory management, and safety applications by preventing overflows, ensuring equipment efficiency, and enabling accurate inventory tracking and the type of level sensor used depends on material type, accuracy, environmental conditions, and specific application requirements.
