Eaton Auxiliary Contacts For Use With the FAZ System
This professional range of auxiliary contacts from Eaton is designed for the FAZ series of Miniature Circuit Breaker. This is an auxiliary contactor features a current-limiting and trip-free design whilst providing fast short-circuit interruption that reduces the let-through energy which can damage the circuit. This auxiliary component is suitable for protecting branch circuit devices and for use in distribution board devices, with DIN rail mount.
Features and Benefits
The contactor offers protection against electric shocks to IEC 536 and has an IP40 rating
Installs on the left side of a miniature circuit breaker or shunt trip
Switches when MCB is tripped electrically or manually
Max. one per FAZ (1077) device
Small selector screw terminals change mode
1NO/1NC
Rated operation voltage of 250 V ac
Contact current rating of 6 A
Typical Applications
Auxiliary contacts can be used across a multitude of applications, users will commonly find these contact blocks being used within industrial applications such as electric motor starters, control systems, industrial control, power circuits and electrical signalling equipment.
How do Auxiliary Contacts work?
An Auxiliary Contact block, or aux contact, is an electromechanical device that is mounted typically to contactors. They are physically connected to the contactor, with simultaneous activation and deactivation applying to both the contact block and the contactor at the same time.
Auxiliary contacts can be installed onto contactors either by front mount, or side mounting. This is usually clear in the shape and size of the product, but please check the compatibility of your devices. Aux Contacts are really useful devices to aid in keeping an eye on the contactor.
