Altivar ATV31 Enclosed Inverter Drive Series
The Altivar 31 drive is a popular frequency inverter created and designed for a single phase motors. This particular VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) is very robust, compact in size and is user friendly. The Altivar AT31 VFD series is suitable for use for motors that have a rating between 0.18 kW and 4 kW, depending on the voltage.
Where can I use my Altivar 31?
The Altivar 31 variable frequency drive incorporates functions that are suitable for the most common applications.
Material handling, such as small conveyors and hoists.
Packing and packaging machines.
Specialist machines such as mixers, kneaders and textile machines.
Pumps, compressor machines and fans.
Features and Benefits
This VFD drive communicates on Modbus and CANopen industrial buses. These two different protocols are integrated as a standard into the drive.
The drive is also supplied with an external heatsink.
Multiple units can be installed side by side to save space and can also be easily customised.
Features six logic inputs, three analogue inputs, one logic/analogue output and two relay outputs.
There are a few options and accessories that can be used with the Altivar 31 drive, things such as braking resistors, line chokes, EMC radio interface input filters and output filters, plates for mounting, UL type 1 conformity kit and an adapter plate for replacing an Altivar 28 drive.
High levels of torque at low speeds via sensorless Flux Vector control.
A totally enclosed drive with an IP55 protection rating.
Fully equipped with a Telemecanique Vario switch disconnector, speed reference potentiometer and Run/Stop switch.
Operation up to 50°C without derating.
This range allows for full customisation of the human-machine interface of an enclosure.
What are the main functions of the drive?
Motor and drive protection
Linear, S, U and customised acceleration and deceleration ramps
+ and – speed as well as 16 pre-set speeds
PI references and regulator
Two and three wire control
Brake sequence
Automatic catching a spinning load with handy speed detection and an automatic restart
Fault configuration and stop type configuration as well as saving the configuration in drive
Several functions can be assigned to one logic input
What potentiometer size should I use on my ATV31 Inverter Drive?
The 10 VDC power supply and the analogue input of the Altivar 31 inverter drive can operate with any potentiometer ranging from 1k to 10k ohms.
